About Me & This Blog

Hi!  My name is Jess.   I was born in Maryland, went to college in Delaware, and currently live in Charlotte, NC by way of Philly, DC, and Charlottesville, VA.  I've been really fortunate to have had a ton of great adventures and experiences.

One thing that has always been central in my life has been – Cheese.   Growing up I was a very picky eater.  As an adult one of the ways I learned to taste new foods was to prepare it with some kind of cheese. If I liked it with cheese, I would maybe consider eating it the regular way.  So naturally when I started to learn how to cook every meal had cheese as one of its ingredients!   When I met my husband I was very impressed with his ability to cook.  It was because of him that I really started cooking a lot.  Now one of our favorite things to do together is to turn on some music and cook up all sorts of things :)

I guess initially the idea of Cheese Please was born while honeymooning…  I wanted to document all the new recipes I was going to try as a newlywed.  Now this blog is a way for me to share all the foods I find delicious and interesting!
